Invisible wave

Synopsis

A chef had an affair with his boss's wife and gets caught, he set the deal with his boss that if he kill the woman he slept with he will be free and can make his brand new future in another place. Things not go that easy along his bizarre cruise trip from Hong Kong to Phuket and when he eventually arrive it get worse.

Have you ever killed someone? Have you ever wonder how it's gonna feel if you killed someone?

I never kill anyone and this movie gave me the answer how would I feel if I did.
This is a Thai movie with international cast, Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Korean.
Not only has the variety of cast but it also used four languages on dialogues.
So. if you can speak four of those languages then you won't need subtitles.

Movie presented in grey tone, showing dark light in mind, character seem to be lost at all time.
Troubles that happened to the main character Kyoji (Asano Tadanobu) along the way are so frustrated, irritated, ridiculous and doesn't seem to make sense in anyway.
However, cruise trip from Hong Kong to Phuket doesn't make sense for me at the first place.
Is there such route really exist?

If the director intends to give you the feeling of guilt when you had committed serious crime, he did his job well enough on me.

Variety of languages actually present the circumstance of this era, when the world getting smaller and smaller, people from difference area using English on communicate (broken but make sense English).
Anti-heroic movie as some might call Film noir.
Personally I think this kind of movie is more realistic because no one is perfect isn't it?

I always admire works of this director as he dare to do things that you won't see much in commercials film. I don't think he can make any profit from this movie in Thailand but there is a group of people that follow his work (including me).
